Beyond the Profile was created by Tonya Buford after she found herself navigating dating again with three grown children and a deeper awareness of how much the landscape — and the conversations — had changed.
She noticed something powerful: Many people weren’t struggling because they lacked options. They were struggling because of the stories they told themselves — about age, timing, worth, attraction, and what relationships are “supposed” to look like.
Tonya realized that if she was questioning these things, many others were too — quietly, internally, and without a space to talk about it honestly.
